This last month the conversations have been the same things coming up over and over inside sessions with clients, and when this happens, I trust it is what needs to be explored here too!
So, let’s start with the one I see most: pushing down how we really feel and ending up with symptoms, situations and patterns that drive us crazy. Sound familiar?
British people particularly are excellent at suppressing their emotions … we keep calm and carry on with our stiff upper lip but here’s where that just isn’t serving you …
When we suppress how we feel we programme ourselves to literally not trust ourselves and then we wonder why we feel lost, confused or have unexplained symptoms that make no sense, and are caught in cycles that we just cannot seem to break.
The key to feeling connected to yourself again and being able to overcome these physical and emotional cycles is to allow the truth of how you really feel surface through doing the deep inner work.
One of the biggest symptoms I see when we’re denying how we’ve felt for years and years is a body that doesn’t feel like our own and that shows up in everything from chronic pain, IBS, through to anxiety and one that women don’t speak about enough – a very low libido.
Now look, it’s easy to isolate these issues and play whackamole but what if there was something at the root of it all?
When we are willing to commit to the deep inner work through healing trauma, regulating our nervous system, and then outward actions like cleansing and rebuilding the gut and supporting hormones then and only then will we see a true lasting transformation.
This is exactly what I dive into inside this month’s video which you can find linked below!
Finally, the change in UK weather to a brutal cold winter and a reduction in both daylight hours and warmth means we all get a little cosier but we can also see a downregulation in feel good hormones and our immune system struggles to keep up with virus after virus. Sad Syndrome as it’s often called affects so many of us, but do you know how it actually works and how to support it? Well, if not you’re in luck because I teamed up this month for my regular joint client call with functional health coach Sarah to dive Sad Syndrome and you’re getting a sneak peek via the link below because what she shares is SO enlightening!
Don’t miss the exclusive recording, the first 30 minutes break down Sad Syndrome and the final 30 explore the health and happiness impacts of suppressing how we really feel and how and why your libido and intimate connection is capped by how safe it is to feel how you really feel …
